Refunds & cancellations
Last updated 18 July 2026
This is a plain-English summary of how cancelling and refunds work for the £30/year Dinner Picker subscription. It sits alongside our Terms of Service, and nothing here affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. Cancelling any time
You can cancel whenever you like from Settings → Dinner Picker AI → Manage subscription, which opens the secure billing portal. Cancelling stops the next yearly renewal; you keep full access to the paid features until the end of the year you've already paid for. Nothing is charged again unless you resubscribe.
2. Your 14-day cooling-off period
Because there's no free trial, if you change your mind within 14 days of subscribing you can email us for a full refund, in line with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations. If you've already made significant use of the paid AI features in that time, we may reduce the refund to reflect that, but we'll always be reasonable and tell you first.
3. After 14 days
We don't automatically refund the remainder of a year once the cooling-off period has passed, since it's a low, one-off annual price rather than a rolling monthly charge. You keep access until the year ends. That said, if something's gone wrong, or the app genuinely hasn't worked for you, email us: we'd always rather sort it out than leave you unhappy.
4. Failed payments & renewals
If a yearly renewal payment fails, the billing system retries for a short while. If it can't be collected, the subscription lapses and the household drops back to the free plan, your meals, plans and library all stay exactly as they are.
5. How to reach us
For any refund or billing question, email hello@dinnerpicker.co.uk from the address on your account and we'll help.
